The most important new feature is the ability to force a domain to render with "www" or without. Previously, sites were visible both ways which in SEO is duplicate content.

First runner up: when you submit a form in the Database Manager or in Content Setup, you'll get a simple notification that the form has been submitted.

DHTML drop-down menus saw the most important bug fix. You can now reliably select the drop downs on Image and Image-rollover Content types.

For details, visit the release's page.

Julek Targowski offers four tips on creating and maintaining a great client/designer relationship. They looked pretty good to me so I thought I'd share. What do you think?

In a January 15th blog entry I mentioned that we'll be using a release schedule and versioning, like a real software company, to implement new features and bug fixes.

Moving forward, HyperSites customers will know exactly what changed in the software and will have a date to look forward to for new things. In the past, when a bug was fixed in code or a new feature was added, we'd commit the code then move on to the next ticket.

This was great for instant gratification, but it really made planning hard for our customers, and it made it more difficult for us to track when changes were made. Knowing exactly when changes were made to the software and when is imperative when solving problems later.

All of this is to say that we're really working hard on improving the experience at HyperSites, from the foundation (code level) to the user experience. Look for some really neat changes to our media experience and a video cast detailing new features and other interesting stuff.

Thanks to Richard Benson at Moose Design, and David Cohen, the TechStars.org is officially launched. The best part of the site? It is powered by HyperSites Builder!

"TechStars was founded by a collective of Colorado-based entrepreneurs as a way of promoting entrepreneurial activity in their home state."

Well done guys, no doubt this will be great for the Boulder startup scene!

Starting in January 2007 we're beginning scheduled releases. Along with each release, we'll supply notes to let you know about new features and bug fixes.

Check out the first release from January.

Thanks to everyone for participating in BarCampBoulder. We had a great time and met a lot of really fantastic people. The Flash evangelist from Adobe was there, not to mention a bunch of local entrepreneurs and startup stars. Check out the wiki above.

To demonstrate how easy it is to go from Starting Point to site, we built this in our 3:00pm hour long session: KnifeRobot.com. We used Store1 as our Starting Point. Pretty cool stuff.

KnifeRobot was created in a game played during the lunch hour where 5 teams picked pick three words from a hat, then created a company out of two of them, and had to use the third in a funding pitch. We built an entire company, created a go to market strategy, financial projections, etc. in 30 minutes. Team Hyper rocked. Military Violin? That was a classic, wow.

David and Ari did a kick ass podcast in the 5:00PM hour... look for it at Colorado Startups.

We're all looking forward to the next event... and more beer and pizza.

We had the first HyperSites Road Show in Boulder yesterday. There was lots of valuable input from the attending designers.

Thanks to Susan and Jim for getting that thing organized... and thanks to everyone that came!

The fun continues. For the second time in as many weeks, we've some positive press. There are a few things wrong in it, but it gets the word out there. Thanks Caron and everyone at BCBR! I can't wait for the followup. :)

Imagine my surprise when an email from Nicole arrived to let me know that we made the cover of the Denver Business Journal. I haven't seen it yet, but Rich bought 8 copies... I can't wait to see it. Update: Ok, so we weren't on the cover, the story we were in was on the cover. Still kicks ass!
