Dynamic Site Display In HyperSites Builder, every time a page is loaded it is built on-the-fly from a database. •  You can see what the website looks like as you make changes. •  Content can be displayed based on filters, variables, randomizing from assets, and more. For example, refresh this page and the content at right will randomize. •  No need to bother with an FTP server – what you see is what's already there (you can hide what you're working on if desired). Site-Wide Controls Establish the foundation of your website. Most site-wide settings can be overridden at the page-level when desired. •  Set site alignment to left or center of browser window. •  Choose to 'zero' the site margin or retain browser default margin (space around site). •  Set the width of your site by pixel or percentage. •  Add a background image. •  Use ornaments to add graphics beyond the width of your site. •  Set site-wide Areas. Site Map The Site Map provides an overview of the pages in your site in a hierarchical format with tools for page management. •  See a list of all of the pages in your site. •  Click the page name to view the page. •  Add, edit, sort, and delete pages. •  The Navigation Container uses the Site Map hierarchy. •  Image Rollover Content behavior is affected by Site Map hierarchy. Powerful Asset Management System The Asset Manager provides a GUI for creating databases, establishing relationships, and entering records. Using Asset Entry, Repeating Content, and Asset Detail Containers, it's easy to use the assets you've created in your website. •  Name and describe an asset. •  Create classes to group asset types. •  Define fields from a wide array of choices: text, image, audio, video, downloadable, address fields, and more. Each field type has detailed settings for further control. •  Create Associations using child/parent relationships. For example, you could create an 'Article' asset type and an 'Author' asset type with a child/parent relationship between the two. When displaying one of the articles, you can easily retrieve and display information about the parent author. •  Define and use Keywords to create connections between assets. Then use a keyword filter to show information from, or link to, assets related to the currently displayed asset. •  Enter assets, make changes, and control asset Security and visibility (hide/show). •  Export data entered and/or collected using the Asset Manager for use in other applications. Color Setup Creating colors for use throughout your site is easy using Color Setup. Changing a color affects all instances where that color is used, making sweeping color changes easy. Working with Styles Create text and anchor styles using Style Setup. Choose font, size, weight, line spacing, color, etc. Make changes to a style and all instances are automatically updated throughout your site. Page Setup Manage page-level attributes and override site-wide settings using Page Setup. •  Choose Areas for the page (pages inherit site-wide areas by default). •  Duplicate pages. •  Set page title and navigation name. The navigation name is used in the Site Map and the Navigation Container (if used). •  Include page description and keywords for meta tags. •  Insert JavaScript functions for use on the page. •  Control page visibility – all users, logged-in only, guest only. More extensive permission control is available with Users & Groups and Security. •  Set the page SSL Secure (third-party security certificate required). •  Choose the background color. Areas Use Areas to establish sections of the site that can be shared across pages or your entire site. •  Create top, left, right, and bottom areas. •  Assign individual Areas to one page, multiple pages, or your entire site. •  Choose background colors for each Area. Containers Add Containers to define structure within Areas or add pre-built functionality. Containers can be nested for complex layouts. •  Use the General Container to group Content and add columns. Set the background color or add a background image to the Container or individual columns. Control Container widths, columns widths, and alignment. •  Asset entry, search, and display containers provide access to the Asset Manager from within your website. •  Repeat over assets, products, and departments using the Repeating Content Container. Sophisticated filtering, sorting, and display limiting give you powerful options for showing specific assets. •  Set up processes using the Workflow container. Use Workflows to allow users to create and modify assets. Generate a Workflow for users to purchase access to subscriber content or a downloadable file. Workflows can connect multiple forms, send emails, and much more. •  Use pre-built (or customize) the e-commerce Containers, including featured products, product list (by department or all), product detail, shopping cart, checkout, and receipt containers. •  Upload a .zip file to the Photo Album Container, and it will decompress your file, resize the images, and create a thumbnail view. A pop-up window with a large image is displayed when a thumbnail is clicked. •  Add a Navigation Container for automatic site navigation based on the Site Map. •  User Account and User Address Containers allow users to manage their account. •  Some additional Container types include: address book, e-card system, message forums, rating (rate this item), RSS feed, etc. Content HyperSites Builder supports numerous content types. •  The Text type includes settings for style, color, alignment, spacing, background color, etc. •  Image content includes options for URL (link), ALT tag (description), image map, shadows (which change automatically to match the color the image is on), and more. •  The Bulleted List type gives you much more control over lists than the standard unordered lists in HTML. •  Simply upload three images and specify a destination to create rollovers using the Image Rollover Content type. •  Use the Rotating Content type to randomize between a set of uploaded images. •  Easily build a drop-down menu for navigation. •  Add a poll to your site using the Quick Poll Content type. •  Include media such as Flash, QuickTime, Real, and WMV using the Media Content type. •  Use the Asset Display type to access fields from an Asset in the Asset Manager. Users & Groups •  Create users, groups, and groups of groups. •  Assign a user to any number of groups, and/or groups of groups. •  User creation forms can automatically assign a new user to the group(s) of your choice. You can use this to require a user to create an account, or pay for a subscription before seeing gated content. Security Use security to provide different content to specific Users & Groups, and distribute site management workload. •  Control access to content (users) and administrative tools (site managers). •  Pages, content, assets, products, administrative tools, and much more can be restricted to selected groups and/or users. •  Allows users from different groups to see different content. This works down to the content level, so the same page can vary significantly depending on a user's permissions.
